OPTIMAL STANDARDS AND QUALITY
 

​As part of our commitment to delivering quality and a consistent line of cattle, we select genetically superior Black Angus bulls which meet our pre-determined equivalent “breeding value” benchmarks and phenotype standards.  

 

With proper lineage, the overall health and soundness, reproductive efficiency as well as muscular growth and development of the animal can be predicted.

 

Superior genetic composition also promotes uniformity in essential traits, such as good temperament and social behaviour, thereby engendering cohesion, comfort and happiness in the collective herd.

GENETIC COMPOSITION

The breeding herd at Clear Springs is based upon pure Angus blood.

 

The Rennylea Angus blood/genetics is also a key driver and contributor to our herd genetic composition.

 

The breeding and genetics philosophy of the Rennylea Angus Stud is in line with our own thinking and philosophy at Clear Springs.

CLEAR SPRINGS BULLS

Bred by Rennylea Angus, the majority of our bulls are sons of Tuwharetoa Regent D145 and Rennylea F266, all of whom can be viewed online.  The Rennylea Angus herd maintains a high level of quality assurance.

 

Specifications:

 

  • 100% Black Angus Parentage (Black Angus Dame x Black Angus Sire)

  • Hide is 100% black

  • All sires and dames are DNA tested and parent verified

  • Every animal is Group Breedplan recorded and included in the Angus Sire Benchmarking Program MN3 (highest level of assurance) under the Johnes Market Assurance Programme

  • Rennylea is a five-star herd recorder in the Completeness of Recording Report issued by the Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI).

  • Accreditation under the Australian Livestock Production Assurance programme (LPA)​
