At Clear Springs, we guarantee that all of our all natural grassfed Black Angus cuts come from cattle that are:

 

  • Certified 100% Grassfed (whole-of-life and never finished on grain)

  • Certified Non GMO (never exposed to genetically modified organisms)

  • Certified free of hormonal growth promotants (HGP-free)

  • Certified free of antibiotics

  • Never confined for feeding purposes

  • Free-roaming within large, well watered and shaded paddocks

Fed on lush and nutrient-rich pasture, whole-of-life, Clear Springs cattle yield tender, lean yet succulent beef cuts which are packed with flavour.  

 

Clear Springs Beef Grading Scores  

 

Based on the most recent inspection performed under the Meat Standards Assessment (MSA) - Meat Eating Quality Programme, Clear Springs All-Natural Grassfed Beef yielded the following results:

 

  • MSA Marbling Score (MSA MB): 340

  • AusMeat Marbling Score: 1 - 2

  • Fat Colour (FC):  3 - 4

  • Meat Colour (MC):  2 - 3

  • Maturity / Ossification:  192

  • Ultimate pH (pHu):  5.42 - 5.61

  • Subcutaneous Rib Fat (RF):   14 - 15mm

 

MEAT STANDARDS AUSTRALIA BEEF GRADING PROGRAM
 

Meat Standards Australia ("MSA") Beef Grading Program predicts Eating Quality by grade, cooking method and ageing requirement to guarantee the tenderness of beef for consumers.

 

The MSA Grades are determined by calculating the direct and interactive effects of factors which affect beef eating qualtiy.  Such factors include breed, sex, marbling, age, growth history, carcase quality attributes, processing methods.

 

Integrity

 

All participants in the program are required to be licensed.  Licensees of the MSA Trade Marks and technology are required to have auditable procedures in place to prove proficiency ot the MSA Standards.
